![]() Milling traditions of our Company extend back to the pre-war period. The biggest changes referring to the ownership structure and modernization of the plant date back to 1990’s. Due to the commercialization of state owned companies, on 3rd April 1995,The Joint Stock Company — Polish Grain Plant "PZZ" in Krakow was established on the basis of the Regional Company of Grain and Milling Industry "PZZ" in Krakow. Next, shares have been contributed to the 4th National Investment Fund 'Progress', which was in accordance with the provisions of the Mass Privatization Program. ![]() In 1996 the Company took a loan from the budgetary funds - ESFAL and used its own financial means acquired from finance and ownership restructuring to replace machines and other units of the wheat mill and accompanying infrastructure. The modernization covered: cleaning room, wheat mill (Buhler’s wheat mill was installed. Today, daily milling capacity equals 300 tons), construction of the technologically advanced containers and equipping the packing department with specialized machines for weighing and packing. The new electronic system controls work of the cleaning room, proper mill and the packing department. It also enables screen visualization of these facilities. The next stage of modernization covered construction of new containers for storage and selection of large amounts of grain. ![]() Apart from modernization, our company acquired quality certificates. The Polish Centre for Testing and Certification in Warsaw granted the Joint Stock Company – Polish Grain Plant "PZZ" in Krakow ISO 9002 Certificate with respect to purchasing, storage and processing of grain as well as to sale and distribution of grain products. At the same time the Company received International Certificate of Quality IQNET. On 8th October 2008 the Plant celebrated opening of a new production line with a daily capacity of 200 tons. Nowadays milling capacity of "PZZ" Krakow has reached 500 tons per day. The new line was consecrated by Cardinal Franciszek Macharski. Check our photo gallery. |
